About us
Hi, we’re Darick and Bee the husband-and-wife team behind BookLush. We created BookLush as a place where our love for books, coffee, and community could come together under one roof. At BookLush, you’ll find a cozy literary café filled with mostly used books and a selection of new releases, inviting you to explore timeless stories and discover fresh voices.
But BookLush is more than just a bookstore. We’ve designed it to be a welcoming space where you can relax with a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy a light snack, grab a seat and spend some quiet time immersed in a good book or get social and catch up with friends.
We’re passionate about bringing people together through experiences that inspire and connect. That’s why our vision includes hosting poetry nights, featuring local authors and artists, putting on adult proms and creative date night activities, and organizing daytime tea parties. We also care deeply about our community’s youth. Our kids’ section, BookCrush, a nook within BookLush, specifically dedicated to our young readers, will offer fun events like paint parties and movie nights, as well as educational workshops on topics such as personal finance, applying for jobs, and preparing for college.

BookLush is a literary café founded by husband-and-wife team Darick and Bee Davidson built on a shared love for books, community, meaningful connections, and the simple joy of slowing down with a good story. At BookLush, we offer a thoughtfully curated selection of mostly used books alongside select new titles inviting readers to discover timeless stories and fresh new voices in a cozy, welcoming space.
More than just a bookstore, BookLush is a vibrant community hub. An eclectic cafe to gather and visit awhile. Guests can savor freshly brewed coffee or tea, and indulge in light snacks like cookies, brownies, muffins, and chips while settling into a cozy corner with a book or engaging in some great conversation
We’re passionate about building community through unique experiences and we believe stories are for everyone. BookLush looks forward to hosting events featuring local authors and artists, poetry nights, adult proms, date night activities, and daytime tea parties. For families and kids, we plan to offer educational workshops on topics such as personal finance, job readiness, and college preparation, as well as fun events like paint parties and even family movie nights.
Our children’s section, BookCrush, is a nook Within BookLush designed just for our young readers. BookCrush offers a welcoming space for kids to discover a love of reading through engaging books, educational workshops, and creative activities to inspire curiosity and confidence.
